Design Brief

Design Brief
Band Name: Rumour Has It
Target Audience demographic:
What is their age range? 15-25

What other music do they listen to? You Me at Six, Paramore, Linkin Park, Fall out Boy, All Time Low. What other interests might they have? Social networking, going out, music festivals, listening to loud music. What style of clothing do they wear? Rock/Pop Style, band merchandise. Converse shoes, jeans, hats (have piercings, tattoos)

Imagery and Colour Schemes:
Create a Photoshop document of imagery you have found on the internet. (Mood board)
What imagery is likely to appear on the front cover? Should you expect to see darker colours, bright colours, and pastels, black or white? Dark Colours, rough style.  Album artwork usually links in with rock albums but I want a picture of the band on the front cover.  You would expect to see a picture of the band so it would be easily recognisable. Unlike pop albums, the background wouldn’t just be white but be in a set scene, such as a college or an alleyway (dark scene, fits with genre of music).
Type face/Font style
Create a Photoshop document of typefaces that would be appropriate.
What type faces have you found that could be appropriate?
Pop/Rock (similar to bands such as you me at six) Black and white writing, not much colour. Rough finish.  Because it’s a rock/pop band the font would also be big writing which is eye-catching, and usually will be in full capital letters (that’s what people associate with rock bands, unlike thin writing used on pop albums).
